Akron Institute Of Herzing College: Ohio, Associate Degrees And Certification

The Akron Institute of Herzing College has been preparing students for their career life for more than 30 years. The college, located in Akron, Ohio, was built in 1970 and is known for providing students with externships or hands-on learning. The Akron Institute of Herzing College is part of the Herzing educational system. The Herzing College was one of the earliest colleges that offered computer training to students. It was built in 1965 and had expanded to provide six more schools in America and five schools in Canada. On September 10, 2007, the Akron Institute of Herzing College received accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This commission is responsible for ensuring the quality and the continuous development of schools offering post-secondary education. According to the commission, the Akron Institute of Herzing College deserves to be accredited because it never failed to provide students the training they need to survive their career life.

The Akron Institute of Herzing College, in its desire to pursue excellence, has gained certification from the Authorized VUE Testing Center, American Association of Medical Assistants, and the Ohio Dental Association. It has also evolved from giving students diplomas to giving Associate of Science degrees and Bachelor of Science degrees. Given below are just some of the degrees at the Akron Institute:

1. Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration (AASBA) – This associate degrees program at Akron provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue an entry-level job in business. This program usually takes 20 months or five semesters to complete. Getting training from this program will open careers in business administration, sales, accounting, human resources, marketing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

2. Associate of Applied Science in Computer Networking and Security Technology (AASCNST) – This associate degrees program at Akron provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue an entry-level job in the industry of computer networking. This usually takes 20 months or five semesters to complete. Aside from this, because of the importance of certification, this program also offers A+ Certification Preparation and Troubleshooting to students. Training from this associate degree program prepare students in careers such as network installation, network support, network installation, network security and network administration.

3. Associate of Applied Science in Dental Assisting (AASDA) - This associate degrees program at Akron provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a dental assistant in the modern setting. This program usually four semesters to complete. Getting training from this program will provide students the career opportunity to become a Dental Assistant.

There's nothing more enjoying than having to learn through experience. It's practical, and at the same time easy to absorb. With this, it can be said that the Akron Institute deserves accreditation because they have been providing students with the training they need for more than 30 years.
